Your Role 📊

We are looking for a driven, tech-savvy and entrepreneurial accountant to join our team in Stockholm and help us bring our accounting and financial processes to the next level. With your help we’ll be able to perform our full accounting & reporting function in-house for both our Swedish and UK companies. You’ll play a key role in making each process as efficient as possible and designing our future accounting and finance landscape! In this role, you’ll be reporting to the Lanterna Finance Manager.

Our ideal candidate is an accountant early in their career who has had experience working with a diverse range of industries. Maybe you’ve been in an Accounting Support function at a consulting firm or in-house accountant working with a broad range of tasks. You are someone who likes bookkeeping but you want more responsibility and excitement in an entrepreneurial environment where your decisions matter 💪🏼 

What You'll Do 🧮

• Manage ongoing bookkeeping and ensure accuracy in financial records

• Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings

• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions

• Process payroll for employees in Sweden and the UK

• Prepare VAT reports and other statutory tax declarations

• Contribute to ERP and accounting automation projects to enhance efficiency

• Take ownership of ad hoc administrative and financial tasks as needed

What We're Looking For 👀

• Qualifications:

  • Certified Accountant (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of professional experience

  • Strong knowledge of Swedish GAAP (experience with UK GAAP is a plus)

  • Experience with ERP systems (We use Netsuite but experience in multiple ERPs is seen as a plus)

• Skills & Traits:

  • Ability to drive process improvements and design automations

  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
